NEWHARD CHALET

52 Martingale Place, Melton Ranch area of Snowmass Village, Colorado.

In September of 1998 a fire destroyed the original Newhard Chalet, which was the first home built in Snowmass Village in 1967, as the resort was being built.

A new larger chalet has been built adjacent to the old home site and was completed February 18, 2004. The new chalet has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths on 3 levels. The house has 10 beds and sleeps 15 in beds including the sofa bed.

On the main floor is the entry, living room, dining room and kitchen and the master bedroom with long king bed and its own bath. There is a powder room bath as well as a coat closet. The living room has a gas fireplace and the kitchen is well equipped with a JennAire gas and electric range, refrigerator with ice maker and an island prep area, microwave and pantry. There is a "killer" view from this level.

The lower level view looks out and opens on the hillside overlooking Brush Creek Road and the Continental Divide. There are three bedrooms with queen beds and a family room with a sofa bed, and a 27 inch TV with VCR/DVD and Cable. There are 2 baths on this level, one with tub shower and the other with stall shower. Access to the 8-person hot tub is from the family room on this level. All rooms have the "killer" view.

There is a loft bedroom with a bath and additional sleeping space with 4 single beds. All bedrooms have 19 inch TVs with Cable and VCR/DVD.

There is a heated garage available with ski storage.

The chalet is near the free shuttle bus route (every 20 minutes during the day) and we hope to provide you with an on-the-slope parking permit which makes your vehicle "ski in - ski out"
